Arcavia
A mixed-use office and retail building that respects and strengthens Arequipa’s traditional heritage while projecting a contemporary legacy for the future. Located in the buffer zone of Yanahuara’s historic center, it engages two main fronts: a smaller, traditional street and a busier, more contemporary avenue. This dual context leads to two architectural treatments: a solid mass with openings proportional to local typologies, and a more open, perforated façade. The structure is concrete and steel, clad in sillar stone. A sun-oriented fissure brings daylight throughout while limiting heat gain. Water and energy savings, solar panels, and no air conditioning support the goal of EDGE Advanced certification.
