Egyptian Museum of Cairo

In order to ensure the architectural quality of the project, the Ministry of Culture of the Arab Republic of Egypt decided to launch an open international competition, inviting architects from all over the world. The commission involved designing a new complex for the Grand Egyptian Museum on a site adjacent to the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramid of the same name, near Cairo.
